Frequently asked payment questions

What’s the difference between state and club registration fees?

Every player must register with the state gaming league, Utah Youth Soccer Association. Registration fees for UYSA include participation fees and state field fees. Each player also must register through MetaSport to pay for club tuition, which covers everything from technical training and winter facility fees, to coaching, field rental, referees and administration costs.

What are the club costs to participate on a team?

The monthly costs to participate in MetaSport FC are comparable to or less than other elite soccer clubs in Utah. To see club costs per team, visit the following program pages for your player's age group:

6U-8U Play On Program
9U-11U
12U-15U
16U-18U Girls
16U-18U Boys

Why do costs vary per age group?

Younger teams will have less training or not attend winter training. Older teams have more training sessions and more referees per game, for example. 16U-18U is part-year due to players' participation in high school soccer program.

When do I have to by a new uniform?

All players are required to purchase uniforms and training apparel every two years, per their team's purchasing schedule and kit requirements. The 2018-19 year requires ALL Meta players birth year 2008 and above to purchase the new team kit.

What are the emailed invoices?

meta invoicing

We use emailed invoices for payments that have not been collected during registration, such as tournament fees.

Team Managers/Coaches take advantage of our Tournament Payment Program, which takes the burden off one person paying the upfront tournament costs and/or having to collect checks and cash from parents. When a team registers for a tournament, MetaSport pays the entry fee and sends an email invoice to players (parents) for their portion of the entry cost to easily pay online.

We consider the Tournament Payment Program a best practice in youth sports because of its transparency and efficient tracking for 501 c3 nonprofit organizations.
