All Meta X-League, Competition and High School Competition players have the opportunity to participate in free extra trainings and clinics throughout the year that are centered around improving individual skill and physical performance. Here’s a sampling of our offerings.

GOALKEEPING

Special training and instruction in the art of goalkeeping by Brian Simmons, Meta GK coach. We’re currently (spring 2019) hosting GK Trainings and all dates and times are in player’s SportsEngine calendar.

 

 

Speed & Agility

Viewmont track coach and Meta Coach Kacie Moore helps players improve their sprint technique and warm-up routines in the summer and in the winter she helps players learn the practice of efficient running.

Meta Movement

Club Director and personal trainer, Britain Thomas, runs strength and coordination clinics during the winter to help players achieve more agility finesse on the field. Plus - the activities are a blast!

 

 

Tech+Move

Tech+Move program offers several components that break the game down into specific scenarios. This program provides the tools for players to develop technical skills (dribbling, passing & finishing) and experience game-like situations (1v1s, 2v1s, 2v2s, 3v2s, 3v3s and 4v4s).

Finishing

Because scoring goals is kind of an important part of soccer (yay!), we provide additional training centered on this critical skill. Players will get the repetition in realistic scenarios. Oh and goalkeepers are welcome too! Clinics are taught by Meta Coach Ken Robinson.

 

 

Multisport

In November and December we launch indoor multisport clinicswith experts in volleyball and basketball, plus free-play action in futsal. High school-age Meta players focus on performance training, defined by speed and agility, strength and conditioning and injury-risk reduction.
